About Coop Build Plans

Coop Build Plans is built and run by WEABLE SAS. The site exists because most free chicken coop plans online are drawn once, at one size, with a materials list that says "lumber as needed" and leaves the cutting math to you.

Every plan here comes from a framing engine built specifically for this site: it takes your hen count and climate, works out the floor space, roost length, nest boxes and ventilation your flock needs from Penn State Extension guidance, then packs the resulting lumber and sheathing onto real 8, 10 and 12 ft stock lengths and 4x8 ft sheets before generating your cut list, panel layout and assembly order.

What this site does not do: it has not physically built or load-tested any of these coops, and does not claim these designs meet any specific building code. Framing spacing and fastener counts are the engine's own conservative rules, stated as such on every plan's start-here page. Where a figure is sourced from an outside reference, that reference is named.
