What can be answered here
- A download that will not start, or a link that has expired
- A plan rebuilt at a different hen count or climate within its declared range
- A figure in a cut list that does not match the drawing
- Which plan suits your site, if you describe the space, the ground and the flock you expect
What belongs to your local authority
How many birds you may keep, whether roosters are allowed, how far a coop must sit from a boundary and whether a structure of a given size needs a permit are all set locally, sometimes by the municipality and sometimes by a deed restriction on the property. Those answers come from your local authority, and they are worth having before you buy timber.
Response time
Messages are answered within two business days, with order and download problems handled first. If you are reporting a discrepancy in a cut list, include the hen count, the climate and the member in question: the engine regenerates the plan, so a genuine error is fixed for everyone who buys that configuration afterwards.
What to put in the message
The email address used at checkout, the configuration you bought, meaning hen count, breed size and climate, and the sheet the question refers to. Those three lines usually settle a question in one exchange, because the same plan regenerated at a different hen count changes lengths, roost run and ventilation area at once, and an answer given against the wrong configuration is worse than no answer.
What is outside what this site can answer
Veterinary questions, predator problems specific to your area, and whether a given inspector or neighbour will accept a structure are outside what a plan can settle. So is flock management: how many birds a space suits is in the planner, how many birds you should keep is a question for the people who will look after them through a winter.
Before you write about a figure
Compare the figure against the dimensioned view rather than the assembled picture. Finished length against rough length, and a rafter measured along the slope rather than on the run, account for most reported differences and are both labelled in the list. If they still disagree, write with the member named as the list names it: the engine regenerates the plan, so a real error is worth fixing for every later build in that configuration.
